” … she can magically enthrall an audience.” – John McCarthy

A rising concert pianist from the Bay Area, Serene has performed across the USA and internationally.

Over the course of her musical studies, she has won several awards, most recently the Gold medal in the United States International Piano Competition, First prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, First prize in the US Open Music Competition, and numerous other prizes in competitions past.

Serene studied both piano performance and computer science at Carnegie Mellon University, graduating one year early with university honors. Though classically trained for over 20 years with an immense repertoire, she has also retired young from a second successful career in software to focus on music. Her path as a pianist and as a person suggests a remarkably unique trajectory and gift, reflected in her artistry and music-making.

With a direct pianistic lineage to Liszt and Schumann, this young artist has evolved a powerful yet refined style. She has become known for her uncanny ability to engage the listener with her sensitivity, her commanding graceful presence, and her technical ease.

Serene is excited to present the life-changing beauty and power of classical music, to audiences both new and old, in venues both physical and virtual, now and forever.
